Music for Mother of the Bride, Parents of the Groom and Grandparents


This is the first procession music to be heard and many times it is similar to the music used for Bridesmaids. Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring is often used. I have also included four pieces that are listed on the Bridesmaids' page: Romance, Largo, Air from Water Music and Menuet.

Handel composed the Water Music Suite to regain favor with King George I of England. The Air is a very well known piece from this suite.

This "Menuet" is from one of Handel's later operas.

Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring - J. S. Bach (3:00)
This is one of J.S. Bach's most famous chorales. The is a good entrance for mothers of the Bride and Groom. Can be listed as Jesu in the program.
